And the pup makes six

I couldn't help but giggle going through all the images from this family shoot in Kula, Maui. Not because the images themselves were funny, but because during this shoot I don't think I stopped laughing. I don't normally get nervous before shoots, but I distinctly remember having butterflies in my stomach driving to the house. You see, Trish is an amazingly talented photographer on Maui and having not met her in person, I was definitely nervous. However, Trish turned out to be one of the funniest people I've ever met -- unafraid to keep everyone around her laughing.We gathered up their 3 beautiful kids and their sweet pup, and took photos on their property. Photographing a family with children can be challenging, especially getting everyone to look at the camera at the same time. However, I did manage to get one more formally posed photo of all of them looking at the camera (see first photo below). We then moved on to capturing more candid moments of them having a good time, which I tend to prefer, because I think that when you look back at photos, those are the moments that really count.
