A rainbow after the storm ~ Maui honeymoon session

Cara and Dom met in August of 2008 in Block Island, RI. They had been planning a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico for last November. Anyone who has ever planned a destination wedding knows how incredibly difficult it can be at times. With these two, it was no exception. Their wedding planner passed away two weeks before the wedding. There was a hurricane the week before the wedding, which wiped out the beach they had been planning to get married at. The swine flu broke out and people were scared of traveling to Mexico. And sadly, their wedding photographer was hit by a car the Friday before the wedding so they were left without a photographer. Finally, the person who ended up filling in last minute was not experienced with a camera and most of the pictures turned out dark and under exposed.In spite of all the tragedy and mishaps, they were able to relax and enjoy their honeymoon in Maui and some of the other Hawaiian islands. A group of photographers, myself included, were able to capture some lovely moments of the two of them on Maui.
