A stunning Four Seasons Lanai wedding ~ Katie + Matt
The island of Lanai, located just a few miles away from Maui, is an amazing place to get married. Lanai has its own tiny airport, but most people fly into Maui and then take a short ferry ride over to Lanai. The deep ocean channel between the two islands is teeming with diverse life, and on most days the ferries come across large pods of spinner dolphins, who swim playfully alongside the boat and delight passengers.Katie and Matt met just seven short months ago, when Matt was lucky enough to volunteer at Katie's place of work. Their wedding even took place on their seven month anniversary (lucky seven!). They could not have chosen a more perfect place to say their wows than the middle of the Pacific Ocean, because from the start - that first sweet kiss by a lake - to when Matt proposed - at a lake house - their relationship was deeply entwined with water. It didn't take long for Matt to realize he'd met his soulmate, either; after the first date, he told her brother that she was the one!The wedding party was such a great group, and they were able to have fun swimming with dolphins in the bay the day before the wedding. As for the music, the guests were treated to the spectacular talent of George St-Kitts, who flew in from Ontario. With a gentle ocean breeze, they danced under the stars, strains of music floating out over the ocean. Katie's sister even got up to sing with George, which the crowd loved. What a sweet, sweet wedding.Congratulations, Katie & Matt!Wedding Ceremony: The Four Seasons Lanai 12th HoleWedding Reception: The Four Seasons Lanai Tee BoxFlorals: Asa FloralWedding Coordinator: Debora Hrbacek of the Four Seasons LanaiHair & Makeup: Lori Davis of Wedding Hair Maui StyleBand: George St-KittsVideographer: Todd of Hawaii Video MemoriesWedding Gown: Vera WangSecond Photographer: Jessica Akin of Anna Kim Photography
