An Orange Sky Wedding

The moment I first shook hands with Simone, I knew she was a strong & confident woman. Her handshake was as firm as I might imagine Arnold Schwartzeneger to have. It just so happens that Simone & Reto are both professional triathletes and are constantly training. They flew in from Switzerland to have a small, intimate wedding on Maui with their closest friends and family. And to compete in the Kona Ironman, of course. As we were walking down to the beach, it started drizzling. The drizzle quickly turned to downpour. We rushed for cover in hopes that it was a typical Maui shower which usually lasts for a few minutes. Twenty minutes passed and it was still raining hard and dark clouds loomed overhead. Simone made the difficult decision to move the wedding to the Wailea Beach Marriott's indoor backup location. As we waited for the Groom and the guests to return to the hotel, it stopped raining. Simone & Reto were able to have their wedding on the beach as they had always dreamed.Maui is known for the breathtaking sunsets, but there was something extraordinarily beautiful about this particular one. It was a vibrant orange-pink sunset. Without a doubt, it was *the* most spectacular sunset that I have ever witnessed.Congratulations Simone & Reto!Thank you Tracy Flanagan for doing a stellar job with the wedding coordination!Wedding Coordinator: Tracy Flanagan of A Dream Wedding; Maui StyleCeremony: Ulua BeachReception: Wailea Beach Marriot & SpaCaterer: Wailea Beach Marriot & SpaSimone & Reto's Maui Wedding 1Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 2Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 3Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 4Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 5Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 6Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 7Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 8Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 9Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 10Simone & Reto's Maui Wedding 11
