Into the Forest ~ An enchanted Maui wedding

It is always exciting for me to discover new locations for shooting on Maui, whether it be a hidden beach, lava field, or an off-the-beaten-path forest. I was thrilled when Paige and Ryan were up for a little adventure. These two met at a swing dance class, and since Ryan was too nervous to ask for her phone number, she found him on Facebook and the flirting began. The rest has been a romantic journey, culminating in their beautiful wedding here on the island.After the ceremony we drove up to the northwest part of Maui to find this enchanted forest. One of the things I love most about forests is the peacefulness they offer, with only leaves rustling in the wind to provide a soothing soundtrack in the background. The forest we found has an amazing combination of elements: lush greenery, ivy growing up tree branches, wild branches and tall, old trees that seem to branch out and intertwine with each other at the top.Here are a few photographs from their wedding.
