Midsummer Night's Dream Wedding
I love Facebook for many reasons, but especially in this case, since it was the catalyst for reconnecting me with Nicole. Many years ago, we both danced at Butterfield's Dance Studio in Maple Grove. I remember watching her and her cousin Angel dance their duets, and admired how effortlessly they did their jetés in the air. I could swear they had springs in their feet.Fast forward 15 years, and Nicole, radiant beyond words, was marrying her sweetheart Adam. These two went to the same high school and even the same prom, but not together. It was not until years later that the two started dating. Adam was convinced after the first date that Nicole was the one, and after just a few dates he told her he was going to marry her. There was a time when they were in different cities, and even with the distance, they were both confident it was going to work out. They just knew it.The wedding took place at the Nicollet Island Pavilion. Adam surprised Nicole by sending flowers the morning of the wedding with a card addressed to 'Babydoll.' There was a flood of emotion while Nicole was getting ready. Her dad walked in with a surprise gift, a beautiful anklet which made everyone on the room (including myself) cry. A big thank you to Tammy Eppens for flying from Utah to second shoot ~ she is a big sweetheart! This actual wedding day was the most humid day I have ever experienced. I'm not joking when I say it was sauna-like conditions. But with all the beauty and love that surrounded this wedding, it was easy to ignore the heat outside!
