A romantic Kauai wedding ~ Natalie + Tyler

I've been lucky enough to travel to the neighboring island of Kauai twice in the past month for weddings. It is one of my favorite islands, and a part of me wonders what it would be like to move there. The island is so lush and beautiful, and there's a real feeling of serenity about the place.I knew these two would be a blast to work with from the second I arrived. The house in which Natalie was getting ready was a bustle of activity and energy, full of laughter and smiles. From there we went to pick up Tyler, and then headed out to a lovely desolate beach where the ceremony took place. Throughout the day, the rain threatened, with massive storm clouds on the horizon and overhead, but as luck would have it, the rain pounded down when we were in transit, magically stopped during the ceremony, and then picked up again only after it was done.After the ceremony, which was heartfelt and intimate, we headed out to get some bride and groom shots. After stopping by a horse paddock and a taro field, we made our way to the town of Hanalei, which is a great little place on the North Shore, tickled by rain and bright colors and surrounded by lush vegetation.It was an amazing day, and it was extremely hard to pick from the hundreds of photos that I love from that day to post here. We met at a wedding... I was a groomsman and she was a bridesmaid... so cliche! I remember wishing I had been paired with her for the walk down the isle. I spent the next 6 months chasing her... after several attempts and just as many awkward moments, she finally gave in. Seven years later I proposed to her on the banks of the River Seine in Paris... she said "Oui!"... so cliche again. I'm the luckiest guy in the world though... so cliche-schmishay!
